Music - Summer Concerts

Many communities throughout Northern Michigan hold weekly, free concerts during the summer months. These family-friendly venues offer a chance to take advantage of the great music and warm breezes of summer.

Pavilion on Court — Gaylord
The Pavilion on Court, Gaylord, has bands every Friday, 7-9 p.m., June 22-Aug. 10, except during Alpenfest. The Pavilion is also the site of Wednesday concerts featuring the Gaylord Community Band, 8-9 p.m., June 27-Aug. 8. For full scheduling information visit www.shopdowntowngaylord.com.

Music in Mackinaw, Mackinaw City

Music in the Park, East Jordan
Memorial Park hosts musicians every Friday in July and August. Every Thursday in July, the Jordan Valley Community Band performs at 7 p.m. www.ejchamber.org

Summer Concert Series, Cheboygan

Charlevoix Concert Series, Charlevoix
Odmark Park Pavilion is the site of the 2011 concert series every Thursday and some Sundays from June 21-Aug. 30, including a performance by the Air National Guard Band of the Great Lakes, July 3. www.downtowncharlevoix.com
